After owning a stunning white example back in NZ, and touring the country on it, I was in lurve. Back then I was young and adventurous, so found a long straight (clear) road........and gunned it up through the gears.......100.....150.....200....249 (kmph)......twisted a little more and there was still more to go. At this point, rationality returned with a thud (the 'what if' thud in the stomach) and brought her calmly back to legal speed:wacko: A moment to cherish and never attempt again, but had me hooked, line and sinker, on the VFR. Sadly I had to sell her when I left NZ for the land of Blighty, but............I got one over here! It's a 92 in Blue (or is that Black?). Have had to replace the reg/rec, chain/sprockets, headrace and rear wheel bearings, as she's done a shade over 50k. I commute each day on her (44 mile round trip), and love every moment! It's great to find a forum dedicated to one of the best built allrounders to date!
Congratulations on a second VFR! I got my first about a month ago and have been loving the heck out of her. Way better than my CBR600, Sportster, '65 Dream, and 85 Nighthawk. ALthough I do want another Dream and Nighthawk someday when I can afford them.
