I've never been on one of the infamous Haymarket rides. Our group is big enough (plus we've all ridden together) so we could start there and go where the other group is going. Do you know their route Titanium? If its decent I'm down to check it out.

We can still meet at the station, but it may be easier for Titanium and Glockem (who will be coming even if he doesn't know it yet) to just head to Haymarket. Plus I won't need Starbucks cause there is coffee and its free.

Titanium- Any idea what time the other group is meeting? We could plan to meet at the same time, but after hearing some bad things about some people who meet there, plus its the first ride of the year for many of us, stagger our start with them but go a similar route. Sound like a plan?

Oh and I'm not saying you're friends are bad either, but I've heard some bad stories about people going way too fast in places with more enforcement than I like and some squids trying to keep up which always leads to disaster. I think its DCsportbikes.net who meets at Sheetz usually. Just did some recon and they are meeting at 10am, stands up at 1030. Trying to get the route still.

I only know of two of the people that said they might show up for that ride. And if we were to show up for the group ride I was figuring I could talk to Johny and tell him we would be a separate group in the rear. But if we can't get the route, I can find one. Just an idea.

How bout this: I get a route together and bring it with me. We all meet at the Station at 9am on Sunday and figure what we want to do. We can either head west and pick up the group in Haymarket. Or head west and go on a route that I bring with me. Or go on a route that BP knows. Or head south and let Hottbrakes lead the way.

Sounds good to me. I was PM'ing with Johnny and he said they would be heading out to at least Flint Hill and that if no one else shows up he will lead us out there. But it doesn't matter to me, as long as we are riding and its twisty I'm happy (and warm).

I have much more difficult decisions to make now...which bike?...which gear? Any suggestions? Hehe.

Can you bring the Hawk for me and you can ride whatever!! As for gear for me, I still haven't picked up a set of pants yet. So I'll be rocking my MotoGP leather jacket and my jeans with some under armor.

Still waiting on my tires!!! Damn Fedex is slow!!!

Also I have a really good route. But its kinda long for me to do it twice in one weekend. One road in the route is very questionable as it was covered in bumps and holes last summer. Can't imagine it has gotten better. Either way we have some sort of a plan!

Sunday- meeting at Hotbrakes Fire Station 9 am. Stands up no later than 9:15. Ride out to Haymarket and make the decision on the route there.

Busas? Now I have no choice but to ride the RC.

Looks like I'll be jetting home Sunday morning and riding back up. It will be 20 degrees in the morning when I have to leave for work so I'm driving. 0930 might be more accurate by the time I get home and change. That leaves us plenty of time to get to Haymarket. It takes 20 minutes. Looks like Johnny has about 10 other bikes with him so we will definitely have at least 2 groups if we go their direction.

I got the tires installed yesterday!!! Hoping to make it out today and work them over a bit. Either way I will have to claim the back of the pack position as these tires are much different than the Dunlop Supermax's I was on. HB- I'll be soooo jealous of you and your RC51...... I wish I had the funds to pick one up! I need to sell that stupid good for nothing Lexus!! Stupid car payments.....

Well, see everyone at 9:30 on Sunday!

Good news! I set a new record at 2am today and I think I earned my penguin wings...19 DEGREES! Over an hour of sustained torture, my visor fogged up the second I closed it so I had to leave it cracked the whole time. But I'm here, on the bike (VFR) and I'll be ready to go tomorrow at 9am so we can make it to Haymarket in time.

Let's plan to LEAVE at 0930. Be there or find us in Haymarket at McD's. Hope everyone is enjoying what turned out into a beautiful warm day.

Had a good time today. Looking forward to the next trip. Hopefully less bikes and some better road conditions. I think there was a mention of a trip to the natural bridge. Sounds like a good time. For those that took some pictures, post em up!!

It was a good ride with no close calls, I had my doubts too. Sorry for the all the turning around but sometimes GPS can be difficult. Found a good road though wherever it was. Anyway, here's some pics.
