coolant?

    I was wondering what about what coolant to use in my vf1000f. i heard that if you dont use the right coolant it can damage your water pump rotar?? Is this true

    I used Honda Type 2. IIRC it is a non-silicate formula (silicate can damage water pump seals).

    Got mine at a Honda Car dealer (cheaper than bike shop)

    FYI, it is dark blue

    Okay thanks. i heard it couldnt have silicates in it because it would cause damage.

    I just buy the Honda 50/50 premix from the dealerships (I even put it in my Yamaha), Honda chemicals aren't bad at all.

    AGREED for normal A/F. But Honda type 2 is pre-mix. DONT add water.
