Hello everyone. I'm not, currently, a VFR owner. I owned a midnight blue '87 700 back in college. I loved the bike... and so did the motorcycle theives. It was stolen twice. :(

Last December I broke down and bought a Harley-Davidson CVO VROD. I love the bike. Now that I've caught the motorcycle bug again, I'm thinking of adding a sport touring bike. Of course, the VFR comes to mind. I'm also looking at the BMW K1200GT.

I look forward to browsing the forum.

both good choices. I ride a VFR and my buddy rides the BMW. The VFR is definitely easier on the pocketbook all the way around, and it seems more dependable (mine at least compared to his). I have ridden both and I didn't like the feel of the BMW, but to each his own.

Hi and welcome. When I got my vfr I was looking more for a cbr or something similar. I stumbled onto the vfr wholely by accident. Knowing a little history and haveing seen some of the first gen vf's I knew that htese were good machines. So far, my bike has proven to be a tourer, a commuter, and a sprot bike all rolled into one. And it does each job well and has yet to let me down. I just need to get it set up for my lightweight frame. lol
