let's get a close up of those wheels. is the lip polished???

also, how are the LV cans? i have microns and can't wait for the packing to burn up, they're too quiet for me. those look a bit slimmer.

Yep, the lips are polished..... I really like the look. I am very happy with the Leo Vince exhaust. They have a nice throaty sound to them. You definetely know you have them on but I'm sure they are not as loud as your Micron's. I personally didn't want a real loud sounding bike just one that made a nice rumble.

Thanks for the compliment Vman...... The tire on the back is a Michelin Pilot Road.

    Chris,

I really like the sound but like i said in a previous post.... They have a nice rumble, you know they are there but they are not as loud as some others I have heard. Also, after I got them mounted I did take out the inner baffle that is removable. That opened them up a bit.

are your grab rails necessary for your hard bags? if not, you should take them off, notice you removed the rear passenger pegs.

i've got the silver covers for the rail removal. you can have them if you need them. it'd make yuor bike even more sleek.:clap2:

looty.....no the passenger grabrails are not necessary for the hard bags but you do use the same mounts. If you put the hard bag mounts on and not the grab rails it looks kinda unfinished that is why they are on there when the bags are on. I appreciate you offer on the covers you put on when you take the grab rails off......I already have these. When I took the photos I just didn't put them on for the photos. You are right they do make the bike look more sleek. I do remove the passenger pegs when I don't have the bags on. I leave them all attached. 2 bolts for the passenger pegs, 2 for the bag mounts ( I leave the pegs and the mounts attached) and they are on. Very simple installation.

I do the same thing. The only problem I have is getting the threading started on the 4 bolts in the rear.
Are your 4 rear bolts all the same size and color? The two inboard ones are longer and SS while the two outboard ones are shorter and black.
Maybe the longer ones are there to help me get the threading started.

I love the wheels. The polished rim with OEM black spokes makes the tires look wider. I plan to do the same with mine. Thx for taking the time to post these pics

You can use Tailstrip Aircraft remover found at Autozone or Advanced Auto parts stores. I did it on my last bike. Just tape off the spokes and tire edge, spray the stuff on, let it bake for about a 1/2 hour and scrape it off with a rubber scraper. Use steel wool for the hard spots. For best results point a space heater at the rim during the waiting period. The paint just falls off the rim. Make sure you have rubber gloves, trash bag and lots of paper towels.
    Good luck.

Post a close up photo of the wheels. They look sweet. After you strip, do you just buff it or paint it with a clear coat?

OH SWEET MAMMA, thats fargin' beautiful. I gotta do that to my wheels too. Did you remove the tires ? And do you have to worry about the stripper getting under the tape ? Wonder if i could just pay someone to do it.

p.s. I leave my rear pegs attached to my hard bag mounts too. I like being able to go from "Goldwing trim" to "Ricky Racer" in 10 minutes.

I love this friggin' bike !
