    Hi everyone,
While I may be new to this site, I am a VFR owner/rider from way back. My wife and I currently own three VFR's (90, 96, 01). I commute on the 96 every day at just over 100 miles round trip and the bike has just over 96K miles and is running great. I wont have to commute much longer, as I will retire on May 1st, 09. I am an old guy, 66 yrs old and I have been riding motorcycles since my 18th birthday. My wife has been riding for over 20 yrs. I bought her first bike for a birthday gift in 1987, a new Honda Rebel 450. We ride to Laguna Seca every year on Highway 1. We have been doing so for more than 20 yrs. The great weather here allows us to ride year round.
    Ride Safe,
    Bob Pi.

So you're a Californian, then? There are very many active members her from Cali. We have many get togethers planned for this year. A central location of San luis Obispo has become the epicenter of VFR activity.
    Welcome aboard.

Yes I live in Southern CA.

:smile:Yes, I live in Santa Clarita and we would love to get together with other VFR people. There are so many great roads out in the central coast area. Please let me know when you plan to have another get together.

Congrats on the retirement, I'm sure it's well earned. I guess your only as old as you feel, and you cant be feeling to old if you and your wife are regular riders along with being net Savy.

It's good to see diversity of age group, gender and geographical location on this board. I like to think it creates a large pool of knowledge that we can all learn from.

It's also great to see that your wife rides. I wish more women road and got to enjoy riding as much as us guys do. I think alot of women see this as a guys domain. I don't consider it a guys domain, and encourage women to ride all the time. It wasn't that long ago my girlfriend wasn't to keen to get on the back of my bike, now she wont shut up about getting her own bike!

Anyway, welcome aboard. I hope I'll be able to tap into some of that riding wisdom/knowledge you have built up over the years RIDE ON!!!!!
