I will need 2 or 3 travel days each way so sooner we have a weekend picked, sooner I can tell the boss, "I don't give a shit what your problems are. I am outta here for a week or two!"

Second round of retirement may come earlier than I expected.

Thanks. We will see about the back and neck. I did a 1/2 day trip to Vernon BC from Chilliwack w/o any trouble at all last summer. I will find somewhere this spring to do a full day trip and take it from there. I do have some really good stuff to take at the end of the day though. My only concern at present is getting the time off. When someone or something says I should not do something, then my stubborn side seems to peek out.

 

Do I need shots? Anyone?

 

I'm in... Maybe you San Diego County guys can swoop me up in LA for lunch (or breakfast if you leave reeaaally early) and I can ride up with you. I need 15 days noitce for PTO but a month is better.:cheersaf:

Yeah, we can take PCH up to (the fun way) Las Flores Cyn Rd. to Piuma Rd. to Cold Cyn, to Mulholland Hwy., to Topanga Hwy., right back onto the 101. (time consuming)
There's the novice way...Tuna Cyn to Old Topanga Cyn and get back on the 101 in Calabasas. (this is probably the best way to mix in some fun but not waste too much time.)
Orrr, the easy way Hwy 27 (Topanga Cyn Blvd) all the way up to the 101 in Woodland Hills.
But,... if we're pressed for time we could just take the (IMO) boring yet senic route PCH Hwy 1 all the way up to Oxnard and get back on the 101 just south of Ventura.
