I have an 84 interceptor and am thinking of alternate handlebars. Does anyone know of a compatible top triple tree that has handlebar clamps instead of using the stock clip on set up?

What I've done for guys before is to take the upper triple clamp that I make and add the holes for the bar mounts. It's worked out pretty well, but unfortunately I don't have any pictures. If you are interested shoot me a PM and we can discuss.

Or buy something like the Raask risers that clamp on the fork leg like your existing bars and accept a normal handlebar of your choice in standard clamps. This link in UK but I'm sure you can find them there.

Swap your upper & lower triples out for Magna or Sabre parts, they have risers built in!

Don't those parts have a different offset? While not 100%, I'm pretty sure they have more offset which would adversely affect the handling. The old VF's have enough handling, they don't need any more!

Dunno if the fork dia and spacing is the same between the VFRs and the VF's, but LSL makes adapters for the VFRs going back to 86:

    LSL Superbike Handlebar Kits

That's what I plan on doing with my '86 (it's down on the list, but it's on the list).

Sebspeed - I think the sabre and magna have 35mm fork legs and the vf interceptor has 39mm. If the tubes are the same it might be worth buying a magna tree to compare angles. Does anyone know for sure?
