I have some new LED lights I want to wire into my 02 VFR. Has anyone got any advice or suggestions as I have never done this before. I am wondering if I can run the wires into a fuse panel or...? Thanks

All you need if power & ground, the amp draw is low on LEDS so you should be able to tie into a existing circiut, especially if replacing existing bulbs w/ LED replacements in that circiut as well. One thing to note on LED's is they will not work if hooked up back wards as a normal bulb will; they only work one way.

very cool. I have wondered the same things. Do you think you could take pictures as you go and kind of give us a little how-to? I'd like to do this on one or both my bikes.

Pics would be great, along with the part number of the led's too. I was thinking of converting my brake light to LEd's, but I have not been able to find a conversion chart. But since you are going to change or add some LED's, it peaks my interest.

Thanks for the reply. I will certainly take some pics as I work through this and will give you my impressions as I try these. My intent is to install a couple of LED bulbs I purchased on EBAY. I typed 1157 LED bulbs in the search box and was amazed at the selection available there. I purchased http://cgi.ebay.com/Brightest-Wide-...2QQihZ002QQcategoryZ33713QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem and plan on installing them as rear signal lights. I also ordered a brake light modulator and feel that will suffice as we have dual brake lights on the VFR. What I am curious about is how well my plan for additional front end lighting will work. I purchased two white LED units from http://www.strobesnmore.com/ they are the TIR3 SERIES Super-LEDâ„¢ LIGHTHEAD. I think these will work as they are REALLY bright, small and made for external use. I will take pics and let you know how these all work out.

    Well, it's finally done

I just took the bike out for a four hour ride with the new LED's installed. I am very happy with the results. I think they have added greater front end visibility to the bike without sacrificing anything visually from the bike. I posted a few pics so you can see for yourself. They don't really do the lights justice as I took them on a slight angle. When I tried to take the pics directly in front of the LED's the LCD screen on the camera was doing some funky wave pattern thing I've never seen before so I opted to take the shot from a slight angle just in case it was damaging my camera. If anyone is interested in a more in depth explanation of the materials I used or the installation process just ask and I'll do my best to explain what I did and what I would do differently if I were to do it over again. Check out the pics first and see what you think.
