Greetings from the tropics ! Not many Viffers around, but we do have a robust bike scene here with Gixxers and 'Busas dominating. Currently, I occasionally go to the Wednesday night hangouts at a local Hooters or a Thursday night meeting at a converted Fuddruckers restaurant. Sunday mornings are devoted to a small group of young to medium aged riders which meet at a lay-by on Rte 27 just after the exit from I75 West. Bikes range from 600cc - 1000cc sportbikes, ZX14s and 'Busas, with the occasional Ducati and Beemer or Eurobike. We meet at 9.00 am, usually ride to Clewiston where we have a cheapo breakfast then continue on for another hundred miles or so. It is not an organised ride, but over time that has been the most frequent route - riders just show up, and follow the goup. With the preponderance of peformance machines, the pace can sometimes get pretty hectic and cruisers might be a bit off the pace at such times. Hope to see more Viffer owners from Dade or Broward county on this Sunday morning ride - you can always email me for more detailed directions to the meeting place. Cheers.
Hello and welcome to the club....don't think we have any Miami members on here...but I guess we do now! Oh, and we expect lots of pics of the beautiful bouncing boobies from South Beach!
I live in Dania and I have a vfr! The Sunday ride out to Clewiston sounds good. Where exactly does everybody meet up?
And I went to the ride out on 27 today thanks to finding out about it from you. I was on the Blackbird... Fun times. I think i counted 15 alligators on snake rd...
Sorry for the late response. I did not go on the full ride, but met "yellowbranch" at the truck stop just after Snake Road, although at the time he did not recognise me. Was on the CBR, but if I make the ride this Sunday, will be on the '03 Viffer. With Superbowl on the same day, we most probably do a shorter run so the football fans can return home by noon. Unbelieveably, I lost my complete camera outfit in the waiting room of the Burbank airport at the beginning of December, and am now in process of researching a new camera. I think I might get the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 which should be compact enough to easily fit in my tank bag which I usually use on all my rides. I'll post some pics asap, but I'm still feeling my way around this website - it's unfamiliar territory but I should get the hang of posting messages and pics shortly. Lionel
