Thought I would throw quick question out ot everyone. Do any of you see a problem with capping one side of the exhaust collector underneath and running the exhaust on one muffler. There would be the obvious loss of minor performance at the top end but I do not ride it like a race bike. I have heard of others doing it other bikes and in theory it should be a nonissue. Any thoughts.

It may cause you to need to lean it out a bit. Performance will suffer a bit, maybe a lot, since you will be restricting the exhaust outlet by half. I've never heard of anyone doing this. Try it and make sure the cap is removable so if it really messes things up you can go back to stock.

I'm not so sure that I would use the term "minor" when describing the changes that would occur. In fact, I think you would find that it runs pretty crappy all over if you did this.

I've heard of people trying it but the results were so bad that they went back to stock. For them the goal was to lose a few pounds by ditching one of the mufflers. What is your purpose for suggesting this?
