Okay. My wife is finally on board about me purchasing a VFR 25th Anniversary Interceptor to compliment my 83 VF750F in the garage. *whew* wasn't an easy task by any means. I usually don't need the "kitchen pass" but when it comes to spending the money, ya just don't go out and do that without adequate "heads-up" to the softer gender. I know this is a VFR site but I had a question about the CBR and didn't want to join an owners club just to ask a question that I think most of you guys could prob answer. Ever since I saw a recent episode of "House" on TV, I've kinda become a fan of that Repsol CBR he has. Whats the difference between the Repsol and a Fireblade? Are they the same thing? (Hope that wasn't a dumb question...) My heart belongs to the VFR since re-owning my VF again, so I remain true to my school. But I had to ask about the Repsol Honda. Just curious... Thanks as always guys!
Fireblade is Honda's internal name for the CBR1000. Here in Canada, you can get the Repsol colour scheme on Honda's CBR1000. So yes, the Repsol and Fireblade are the same. The Repsol is just a colour scheme available on the Fireblade/CBR1000. But I've also seen plastics for the VFR done up in the Repsol colour scheme. So you could have the best of both worlds. Hope that helps.
Funny you should mention the Repsol for the VFR...saw this on eBay: eBay Motors: Bodywork Fairing set for Honda VFR 800 VFR800 Respol 98 (item 360124656906 end time Jan-23-09 18:14:47 PST)
