The collector box. They all do that Sir. It costs a small fortune from Honda, there are some companies (uk based) which sell replacement systems (notably Motad and Predator). The best bet is often to buy one from a damaged bike. It may just be that the outer skin is rusting, try giving it a wire brushing and repaint with barbecue paint or similar. Rod
