Hello all! Wanted to get my first post out of the way. Recently purchased a 2002 VFR in super condition from a great guy not associated with the forum. I've been riding Harleys since 1985, and my first bike was the last of the CB750F's, a 1982 I believe (83?). Anyway, I've always loved the look of the VFR's, and really love the way it feels on the road. Really is a great compromise (not the bad connotation) between a true sport bike and a true tourer. Looking forward to carving some canyons her in Arizona, and enjoying the highways while I get there.

I'm also a Shelby Cobra owner and enthusiast, so if anyone else out there in VFRWorld has a love of both, let me know.

BTW, Scubalong, I love your tag photo!

Welcome aboard! Tell us a bit about your bike (color, mods, mileage, etc.)

We also won't object to you posting a pick or two of your VFR and your Cobra.

    Regards,
    Rollin

    Hey olddude,
    I am also a Shelby fan,and a Ford Freak!
I recently sold my beloved '69 Cougar Eliminator to finance the resto of my new love;a beautiful '68 Torino GT convert.
In my retirement I plan on building an AC Cobra kit to terrorise the nieghbourhood with.
Oh yeah,I named my daughter Shelby!!!!
Post up some pics of your car when you get the chance!!!!

    Cheers.

    Thanks for the welcome!

My VFR is a beauty in red! Really well taken care of by the original owner out of Florida (moved to Arizona). Totally stock with a brand new set of Michelin Road Pilots, a BMC filter and EBC brake pads. I'm already considering buying another set of stock pipes, so I can rip out the guts. Really liked the sound of that gutted 6th gen I heard on another post recently.

My other mistress is a Factory Five 65 Cobra replica. It's a fuel injected 302, Edelbrock aluminum heads and EFI intake, custom grind cam, Tremec 3550 5 speed, Ford 8.8 Racing rear with 3.73's. Car weighs about 2200 wet, so crapping my pants is not an impossibility. I'll post pics of both as soon as I get a minute and figure out how to post them on here.

Well, thanks again and I'll read you all soon!

    Pete

Welcome olddudesrule! Gotta like your username too (I only say that because I'm feeling older lately too!). Anyway, looking forward to seeing pics of your bike and your muscle car.
