40 yo did the marriage thing twice to figure it wasn't for me. now I have a cool G/F and a charming daughter( Serenity Rose) named after the spaceship from FireFly. got my first bike at 17. my second bike was my first love 86vfr. had afew more here and there. sold my EX500 for travelling money in 96 after my medical discharge from the service 89-95 (panama, Kuait, somalia, and other assorted places) recently saved an 86 vfr700 from a terible fate and I can't wait to get her back on the road.

My daughter sees any other motorcycle she points at it and says "daddys motorcycle" she is 2.

46 years young, divorced, one daughter(4 yrs.), skilled trades leader at one of the big three but that could change real soon. I've had more bikes than I can shake a stick at, worst-2001 "fatboy", stupid impulse buy, favorite aside from my first Z-50 is this red, 6th gen vixen I've got sitting in my garage, like her so much I'm gonna get her an 07 RWB boyfriend to keep her warm at nite.

I turn 18 on Sunday. I'm graduating from high school in May and am planning to get a degree in technology education (aka woodshop teacher). Parents are both teachers at my school, so you could say I was doomed from the start..

I rode a KLR 250 to work (umpiring kids baseball/softball games) for a year. I found my 700 on cragslist and fell in love on the first ride.

OK, here goes. I'm 62, celebrating my 41st wedding anniversery on January 13, met my wife while in high school when we were 17, have three great kids, 29f, 24m, and 22m, and lost a fourth (a twin to the 24m). Have had a great life with lots of joy and my share of tragedy and sorrow. I owe everything to my wife - without her I would be no one and no where. Riding my VFR as often as possible keeps my sanity in check (just barely). I don't know what happened to the years, though; I was a kid and then suddenly 62, and it all went by so fast it makes my head spin.

I love VFRWorld and the people, many of whom seem ageless.

    BUT WAIT........

Squirrelman will turn 65 next month, an unemployed ( from commercial printing) but university educated never-married bum and avid amateur squirrel research scientist with a desert ground squirrel (SNUGGLES who loves kissing and a degu,Twinkle, who doesn't) who surprised himself after years with British and Italian sportscars & started riding at age 44 on a tiny 100cc '66 Yamaha YL-1 (for a year & 1/2) , until feeling ready for a Yamaha Radian 600, then my '86 VFR 700, then did a Reg/Jason Pridmore track school, then more VFRs, then another Radian, then got into VTR 250s, then an FJ 1200, a ZX-7, a few NT 650 Hawks, a '73 CB 750, then '73 CB 125, finally my ultimate, my $2000 salvage -title junk yard find, the '97 now fixed VFR 750, and i do LOVE to her, dammit!

And after they've got that gay marriage thing finally sorted.....i want to marry HER!!

(i was really cautious for 5 years, then turned into Scott Russell on my ZX-7, since sold)

i'm 65 but still love to tuck in, squeeze my knees and handgrips and sail up to 140 for a quick moment once in a while......adrenalin in abundance!!

Squirrelman, My hat's off to you. You got me off the hook, I won't be 65 until Sept. I got back into it after 40 years when I bought a junker cb750F on Ebay, and proceeded to put 10 times what I paid back into it. I bought a Boulevard c90 so I'd have something dependable to ride while I screwed around with the 750, then sold the boulevard after rebuilding the engine on the 750. I bought my 86 VFR750 a year and a half ago, and I love it.

    Thanks, man.

    John

24 year old male. I'm currently doing my Masters in Molecular and Cellular Biology - Microbiology at the University of Guelph, and I'm also a Dive Master for one of the local SCUBA shops helping teach students at the university. Single, never married. I started riding at 21 with a 1978 Yamaha SR500, then upgraded to a 1982 Honda CB750SC Nighthawk, then just bought my 86 VF500F in october 08 for a winter rebuild project.

First of all, I said nothing about cold weather. I called it shit weather. There is a difference.

    Second...it is Tuktoyaktuk.

And third...if you are really correct, it is Tuktuyaaqtuuq. Now...Lets hear you pronounce that without choking on the back of your tongue. But I have to give your credit. You do have some knowledge of our sometimes different ways. You probably even know what a touque is.

I've seen "The Great White North" by SCTV and "Strange Brew" so I also know what a touque is. :strong:

I was born and raised in Winterpeg. I moved out west to get away from that stuff. Now look at what I get. I am moving to some uninhabited south Pacific Island and going to name it The Federal Republic of Randy. With my luck a volcano would surface there and then the whole damned thing would get wiped out in a typhoon.

Don't you just love my positive outlook on life folks?

This is my Friday. Dranbui time
