Hey viffers, I am looking for the honda tank decals for an 86 vfr 750. Mine only has the right side one as the tank was repainted before I bought it.It has the honda name with the gold wing above it. I have tried to find on e-bay and the old bike barn sites but no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, Chris.

You can try the dealer, or online at someplace like bikebandit.com . Or you might try xtremedecals.com to see if they have something close or exactly like the factory decals. Bikebandit only shows an 86 VFR 700F and F2, though I dont know the differences in the two. You might also try Service Honda.

    Tank Decals-86 VFR750

My brother in TN has done all of the paint work on my 86 VFR750 and he orders them from Canada. That is his job...restoration of vintage bikes. I just got my VFR a couple of weeks ago. Cost for decals...??? You'll have to contact him. Let me know if you're interested and I'll give you the number.

Hey guys, thanks for the replys. I live in ontario, canada so if I could get your brother's contact number i'll call them. Vman I'll try bike bandit.com and Xtremedecals.com. The Honda dealers here are pretty stunned when it comes to looking up stuff for you at least up here in the north. I'll also try service honda.I was just able to buy the hard to find rear seat cowl on e-bay and paid only $50.00. It's used and scratched up a bit but I was not paying $280.00 U.S. from theoldbikebarn. Anyways thanks guys and I will keep looking!Chris

Hey...his email address is brettsbikeworks@bellsouth.net. His name is Brett...duh! :) Also, get onto www.timscbx.com to look for hard to find parts. The owner is a personal friend and business partner with my brother. They specialize in vintage motorcycles and are internationally known. My brother does all of the paint work for them. They are located in Alpharetta, Ga. Their email is sales@timscbx.com. Let me know how it goes! Hope this helps!

I also bought my VFR750 from the owner. It was his bike.

Hey Reg, I found complete sets at xtremedecals.com for my bike. I also looked up sets for your bike and they have them too! You can buy individual decals in all sorts of colors as well as the sets. I think for $68.00 u.s. that is pretty darn good. I just have to take a tape measure out to the bike and see what size I need. I think that is what I will go with. Thanks Vman for the info!

Try Service Honda too, as I was able to locate a set of decals there.

I would highly recommend Tapeworks.com as a matter of fact here is link to their vfr section.... http://www.tapeworks.com/HONDA Pages/VFR750800.html
I have used them in the past they have everything race replica to stock replacement to custom. Very good customer service and I had no problems...

that's awesome. the wife won't let me talk about fixing the dents and scratches yet. she says not until after she learns to ride. I told her about the price and she said that's not bad. I'm looking at probably doing the cosmetic stuff next year. This year will just be tearing down and fixing up mechanical stuff.
