Trade my '86 VF1000R for a KLR650 or TransAlp

I have a 1986 Honda VF1000R that I would be interested in trading for a KLR650 or TransAlp. I have about 25,600 miles on mine and a person came to see it last week and said it was in amazing condition except for the one fairing problem. However, I have the replacement fairing that needs painting and sanding. I even have the replacement stickers.

I need a dual purpose bike badly. Mostly because I want to hop in the grass during stopped traffic. Plus, I'd like something for touring around the country. I see the best of both worlds with the KLR650 and TransAlp.

This bike runs great and is in amazing condition. 25,600 miles, but it will go up before I sell because it is my daily driver. I will try not to drive it if someone requests it. I have more pics to send and bigger ones than on here.

Fast, no mechanical problems and does not run hot.

I have never wrecked it, but the reason it has a busted left side fairing on top only is because someone tried to steal it at a hotel and dropped it because I forgot to lock the steering. It broke the top left side of the top fairing only, snapped the clutch lever, and bent the mirror holder. I do have both mirrors even though they are not seen in the pic and they are not damaged. I just didn't want them on it so I removed them.

Oh, I forgot. I will also sell for $2900 without the extra fairing. I'd throw in the fairing if I got some waterproof bags for my next bike though
