I removed the snorkel and the flapper. Plus I broke out the dremel and took some of the plastic out of each opening. If you want a bit more low end this may not be what you are looking for. In theory the box was designed to give a far amount of low end and mid range torque. The flipper is designed to open up in the mid to upper rpm's for the more air flow needed for the top end. I haven't noticed much of a change that makes me regret the modification I have made. I love the sound and the ride-ability is perfect for me. I could see myself not keeping the D&D forever. But I was saying that before I played around with the airbox.

    Matt,

I can't believe you are still running a D&D on your bike. I had mine on my bike for a week or so, and took it off and ordered the Staintune exhaust and have never looked back. That D&D is the most obnoxious pipe I have ever heard.

I guess I mentioned I hate to spend money. Really thinking about ebaying the D&D and seeing if I can find something else.

    Matt,

Just list it on here for sale. I had my D&D exhaust sold within 1 day of it being listed, and I had at least 3 others that wanted it as well. Might be worth a shot. I sold mine for $150 if I remember correctly.

But if you sell your pipe Matt, who's bike will I listen to at work? I get soooo sick of listening to a million Hardley's riding by, that VFR is music to my ears. Plus there's a RC51 that rides by almost everyday when it's warm.

Sunday? The weather is supposed to be nice this weekend. I can't get out of the house on Saturday so that only leaves me going out on Sunday. I'm hoping the roads don't get crushed over the next couple of winter weather days. Anyone interested in meeting up and going on a little cruise?

I'm game. Where to? Is Glockem gonna make a showing? Or is the 50's still too cold...

I get off at 6am, so anybody want to meet up around 7am? Hehe.

If anybody has days off during the week ever, I think a lot of the weekdays will be warm as well, Patrick (Superhawk) and I will probably get together one day for a 3-4 hour adventure around midday. Looks like Monday would be the best time for that as rain will be coming later in the week. Friday may be decent as well this week.

I gots no plan. I'm still in the noob stage of my riding so I don't know many routes. I can look into some local routes if need be. BP- you got any plans for Sunday? I'm sure you know some good routes.

As for weekdays- With some notice my work doesn't bother me too much about taking time off. But that is dependent on my bid schedule. Just give me a heads up and I can see if I can work it out. I'm game any day I can have an excuse to escape work!

I know some routes. But mostly I just link a bunch of roads together for while.

Weather underground. Wunderground.com has Saturday at 60s and Sunday in upper 50s.

I want to get out now that I have tires on the bike. I was out this past Sunday. I checked here first tehn hit the road for a 50+ run.

I say we all meet at the Station on Sunday. Meet up with Hotbrakes and head out some where and get lost. Sound like a plan?

I would assume we could meet up at HB station or we could meet you guys at the Starbucks right up from you house.

VA- you'll be coming from Stafford, I assume. If Hotbrakes doesn't mind leading then we may pick you up along the away.

I hate that I can't/shouldn't volunteer to lead. Kinda putting someone else on the spot. I just really feel that with my level of riding I should be in the back not the front.

As for time: What is too early? HB gets off at 6am so I know he'll be down for anytime after that. Not sure how long he wants to hang out at work when he's not being paid to be there. My wake up everyday is around 6 or 7. So time is no big deal for me. I would think the later we start in the morning the warmer it will be.

Update on the tires: I broke down and order a set of the Michelin 2CT's. They shipped out this afternoon and if they get here before Saturday, I should have them on for the ride! :fingerscrossed:

2CTs are nice..... depending on what you have been riding, take a minute to get used to them. provided you have done noting elseyou will turn in much faster. They will stick tho.

Fedex updated the shipment. Estimated delivery Friday!!! Looks like I'm cutting out of work early on Friday!!!

Also there is a group of people I know heading out of Haymarket and going west. We could link up with them if we can't come up with anything else. Just an idea.
