I bought this bike in the spring of 2008, rode it all summer. Great bike! With this bike now having 27,000 miles on it, any problems I should be aware of at this time? I just want to keep it running good.

    Hello

I don´t know if in the ´85 bikes had the new camshafts (aftermarket).Because the 83 and 84 had bad camshafts mine were ruined in 26.000 miles.I would also check the pulse genator I had replace that also. Then it is just to take good care that is just changing oil and check the sparks if they haven´t gone black. And Yeaahhh I would not touch the carbueator on these bike unless you know what you are doing. They are delecated.

The bike has 27,000 total miles on it. The carbs have been gone through by the previous owner, but due to some pretty scary repairs found in other spots of this bike that I had to go over, I'm not sure I want to trust the carbs another season without looking them over, although it ran ok all summer. I'm in Michigan so right now the bike is getting dusty in the garage, waiting on April for some warmer weather. I picked up the original owners manual and a clymer repair manual shortly after getting the bike.
