Every cloud has a silver lining......to make a long story short my new to me 2002 VFR just crapped out on me on some twisty back road. But unlike other motorcycles the VFR did it with CLASS. She stalled at a well marked cross road frequently travelled by motorcyclist, in the shade, right beside a field where loading her into the truck was easy and I waited in pleasant country side nap time until a pal with the truck arrived to take us home. AND...in seaching the web for that recall I heard about I found all of you cool. Hope to have her up and running to go on a 16 day round trip from Vancouver to Alaska next week, cross your collective VFR fingers for me. Ryan aka Naga
First, welcome to the group. We are happy to ave yu here. Sorry to hear your viffer left you stranded but like you said it didnt' do it in the middle of nowhere. I haven't heard of any recalls, but that doesn't mean there weren't any. The dealer should know if there are any or not, but not all dealers are of the same quality. Maybe a call to Honda itself would yield some results.
that is a silver lining. I always like to meet people who look at the glass and say it's half-full. Riding is kinda like fishin. The worst day riding is better than the best day workin... Or close anyway. Welcome to the board.
