Any body know how to properly disable the side stand switch so that it does not feed back into the ignition?

Hi just got done looking at the wiring diagram. The side stand switch has three wires: green, yellow/black, and green/white. All you need to do is splice or short the green and green/white wire together, the yellow/black wire is the dash indicator light so you wont use it. I traced the sidestand switch on my 97 to a green plug on the left side of the rear subframe. You can see it by taking off the seat and looking down. there will be 3 plugs mounted on the frame itself. A white, red, and the green one. You can do all the wiring here if you want to make it easier.
Why do you want to bypass the sidestand safety switch? Are you going to convert to track use? Just curious, if you have any questions PM me...good luck!

    Greetings

These switches constantly create ignition / shorting problems. I suspect I have such a problem now as I get cutting out symptoms. I recently bought this bike as a sitter with 7 k original miles. I believe this problem is why the bike sat, taking into consideration the story the owner told me ( vague and questionable)

I tried doing what you suggested b4 posting but the kill switch function still cuts the motor off when dropped into 1st with the side stand down. I'll try again this weekend to double check.

    thanks

btw I went through the carbs and connectors carefully
