First time posting but have been reading threads for a couple of months now.

Purchased a nice 94vfr750 in May of 2008.

Have replaced the regulator since it died on me and the voltage reading was low. Have done some maintenace to it but my concern now, if it is one, is the heat of the bike. Did not seem as hot, so I think, before the regulator and the maintenance.

Question right now is where does the temperature gauge read for things to be o.k on a 94 or -97 vfr?

Thanks for your time and replies!

In the PNW, and I am cruising on the freeway, mine will constantly read just above the cold mark. Just above the line.

Once in traffic, stop and go type situation I will consistently see it hover around the half way mark...maybe a little under. Then the fan kicks in and it never really gets any higher than that.

VFR's do tend to get extremely hot though. Its just part of having the greatest bike ever.

Mine typically runs relatively cool, about 1/4-inch above the 'C' on the guage. Get me in 'stop-and-go' traffic on a hot day though and it goes up to about halfway between H and C.
