I'm new to motorcycling, started riding the end of June and have about 8,000 miles. I picked up my VFR mid-September with 48,800 miles on it. I didn't know anything about them, but it was cool looking, had a single sided swingarm and was white on white. I went to look at it, turned it on and loved the engine sound. I asked the guy if it was gear-driven. "Yep". Took it for a quick spin and handed him some cash and headed home! Bike needed / needs lots of love. I put new tires on that week, then a couple of weeks later had a new chain an front / rear sprockets installed. Over the weekend I gave it an oil change, replaced all the brake fluid (clutch, front l, front r and rear), changed the coolant to Water Wetter and touched up some of the fairings with Krylon, cleaned some more of the swingarm, and finally pulled the rear tire and scrubbed it clean. In any case, I've lurked here a bit. I have a bunch of questions and a few problems but I'll post them a bit here and there as I have time to work on it. Thanks in advance for the warm welcome  EDIT: Here is a shot of her off Kings Mountain Road up in the Santa Cruz mountains. Mark
