There are only a couple of holidays that have much meaning to me any more. Veterans Day is one of them even though I was never in the military. This is a day set aside for all of us to thank those who made it possible for us to be here. So today take a minute to thank a Vet for all that they have done. That's all they ever asked for.

As a 20 year Navy vet, I can attest that all we ask is acknowledgement, and a word of thanks feels especially good. Thanks for brightening up my day!

Here in Canada, Remembrance Day is a big affair. Ceremonies are held from coast to coast to coast to remember our fallen men and women of our Armed Forces.

In the eleventh hour, on the eleventh day of the eleventh month, we must all take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices these men and women in our Armed Forces have made in order that we can enjoy the freedoms we do.

Lest we forget. We will remember them.
