Hello. Greetings from Windsor Ontario Canada. :canada:

Just picked up my new 2008 VFR Interceptor. Got tired of riding my Harley so I decided to pick up a VFR. I have been lusting after this bike for many years so I finally pulled the trigger. I now have the best of both worlds. One for speed and comfort and one for comfort. Hope I can get some miles on befor the snow flies.

Many thanks to my father who paid for this bike. He passed away in January. :frown:

I hope he can see the smile on my face through the gallons of tears that I have shed. Thank you dad. I know he would have liked it. I love you and miss you so much. He always liked when I picked up a new motorcycle. Always had lots of questions about my different bikes. Never went on them though.

I am already looking for some upgrades. Definatly want pipes. I love the looks of the stock pipes but I cant hear it running. Any suggestions? I hear Leo Vince are nice.

Any ideas where I can get a good deal?

I have a US shipping address and live south of Detroit Michigan so a drive over the border only takes 10 minutes.

Well I just wanted to say hello to all forum members.

    Dennis

Welcome. Sorry to hear about your dad. I'm sure he has a huge grin on his face, watching you on the VFR.

This site is a great place. The folks here are excellent. Derstuka should have a word or two for you shortly. He's the president of our welcoming committee.

Enjoy your new bike. Like you, I'm trying to squeeze in as much riding as I can before the ugly weather starts.

Congratulations on the purchase of your new VFR...you will enjoy every mile of it! I'm sure your father will appreciate, from heaven, your selection. Think of him everytime you straddle the bike for a ride. Ride safely.

Welcome aboard! Excellent tribute to who I'm sure was a great man.

I recently purchased a set of Laser Xtremes from pipecity.com. They had the best deal I could find at $850 on Lasers. Aftermarket pipes pop up from time to time on Ebay as well. 6th Gens are naturally quiet bikes with the catalytic converter stopping it up pretty well, but my friend has Remus carbon fiber oval cans and the sound is about the same as the Lasers. The exhaust can be heard and all but fades away at highway speeds. Perfect for something you will be spending long days on.

Hello and welcome to the nuthouse! :loco: I am sorry to hear about your loss. I am sure that your pops is smiling looking down at you riding the bike that he bought you. Sounds like he was a good guy.

I used to travel to Windsor a lot. Good ole Ambassdor Bridge! Ever stopped by the "Million Dollar Saloon, Jason's, or Studio 4?" So are you saying that you are a canuck now living in the US, or are you just working over here?

"Kia001" is the member that sells the Leo Vince, and used to sell the Scorpion Exhausts as well. I think that he is out of the latter now.

Great choice of bike Dennis. If you get the opportunity listen to a VFR with Staintune pipes. You'll love 'em and so will your Dad.

    Regards,
    Stumpy.
