Bagster CRYSTAL tankcover

Hi all. Thanks for the previous responses to the laptop question. I have decided to use a Bagster cover and bag, which brings me to my next question.

I have a choice of finishes, either plain vinyl or crystal finish. The crystal is a shiny finish that looks really cool, but I'm worried about wear or the finish flaking off with UV exposure etc...

Has anyone used the crystal versions of the Bagster tank covers, and if so, what are your impressions of them?

I can't speak to the Bagster "Crystal" tank cover, but I bought a black vinyl tank cover for my '02 VFR. It looks good on the red paint, and has a nicely done VFR logo stitched in silver/gray.. This is the 3rd tank cover I've gotten from Bagster and they are excellent quality IMO.

The first, to fit my Yamaha SR500s, is over 12 years old and along with the Alpha tank bag, still going strong. The 2nd was for my Yamaha XV920Rs (or TR-1 in OZ and the rest of the civilized world) and went with the bikes when I sold them earlier this year.

I have a red bagster system on my '98 but it is not the newer crystal finish.
In my opinion, these leather tank bags are extremely high quality. Also it is quite nice to protect your complete tank from scratches and the elements.

Hi, in the end I went for an OEM top box.

But still want the Bagster stuff, but money is the issue.
