    list wisdom please:
the bike is a 1998 and i find my boot is too big to easily get under the shifter to up shift. if i reposition the lever up to make it easier to get my boot toe under the lever then i have to remove my foot from the peg to down shift. are there any shirter arm mods folks are aware of or even some how moving the foot pegs rearward?

rearsets, as I have read in descriptions, would mover the footbeg up and back about 1 inch. I have the opposite problem you do, as my feet are a little short and I am using the end of my boot to shift unless I rest my heel on the peg. Most fo the time I get a good firm shift, but sometimes I dont. I was gonna buy an extra shifter and modify it to make it longer, but I havent done that yet.

    pegs

hi everyone and thanks for the replies/suggestions. i have an appointment with the surgeon for toe removal and will get smaller boots
actually i am going to remove the shifter arm and head on down to my friendly honda dealer to see if a shorter shifter is available. i think the perfect fix would be a lowering block which would move the peg down and rearward.
anyway thanks again for the replies.

Take the footpeg off-buy a hardened bolt in lieu of the stock pin--place peg on lower half of mounting bracket--secure with bolt and lock nut--you will gain 1/2"
by lowering the peg creating clearence for your boot.
