Hello everyone, I am new this forum because I currently do not own a VFR but am very interested in buying one.
I have a couple of questions about current generation VFR's.

    1) Is there any underseat storage at all?
    2) Is the clock always on or do you have to toggle through the trip meters to get to it?
    3) How does the riding position feel after several hours on the bike?

Lastly, my local dealership wants $9,999 for a 07 left over, doesnt that seem about 1 grand too much?

The storage compartment is solely for tools ,a u lock wheel lock and owners manual. Thats about it. Panniers or a gearsack is your best bet besides a back pack. The clock is visible 24/7 even without key in and as for comfort you wont find anything better. Ive got an 08 VFR which is only a couple a mnths. old and as all the reviews you'll find say, no aches or pains with these babies!!! My Ducati cant live up to that!!

the price sounds about right I think. isn't MSRP like 2k higher than that? or was it 10,999? anyway, you could work on the price I guess or go with used and save a few $$.

I have the owners manual, small flashlight, factory toolkit and a multi-tool under my seat.
As for comfort, I rode from Victoria BC to Northern California this summer and was in the saddle many hours. No problem. It was my first real rode trip and the bike was great!

    Can't wait till next spring!

    1. Honestly all I store under the seat is the tool kit that i added a couple things and a light.
    The manual
My registration and insurance in a ziplock bag.

Not much room for anything else, you won't fit a pop can, or your shoes in there.

    2. Clock is always on.
Far left is temp, can swap between outside temp and oil temp.
Speed can be swaped between Km/h and mp/h.
Big tach....i don't care what people say the tach needs to be big and analog.
From top to bottom on right
    ODO
Fuel(very nice most bikes do not have a guage)
    Time.

lights acros the top for thinks like telling your in nuetral, high beems, abs, check engine..that sort of thing.

So brand new bike, 25deg C outside, and 10 am....sounds like the start of a nice day.

    3. Comfort...you won't find a more comfortable sport bike. the only bikes more comfortable are the st1300 and fjr and they are classed as touring bikes. next up would be the goldwing.
First year i had mine I rode from Edminton, Alberta, Canada to Strugis, MT rushmoor, and yellowstone park.
Also rode out to the coast. All very comfortable.

However if doing more than 5 hours a day for a coupl days, a throttle lock or cruise device is nice.

    Welcome aboard.
Ask the dealer if he'll throw in some gear for that price.

The VFR is made to ride for hours. I have done a couple several day trips and have no complaints.

I bought my 07 VFR 800A (ABS) for 10,500. I recomend getting a corbin or sargent seat if you plan to ride for hours at a time. Its worlds differend from the factory seat. Is the bike a Red White Blue or the Red? I know that some folks have been offered around 9500 for RWB bikes without ABS. I bought the factory, color matched, saddle bags from another member here and I just love having them. If I'm riding to and from work it makes storing my bike cover easy, and if I'm touring with my wife, it allows me to have room for her stuff and other nesssities. Plus I love the look with the bags.

This is how you get storage space. The bags snap off and I also have the L-46 trunk. Givi makes great gear for the VFR.
