I received this via email, it's not mine, but does sounds very interesting as I was just talking with some friends and got into a debate on just how much do we Americans really know about Barrack, so figure this be a good place to spread the word.

I am not, I just have an issue with passive aggressiveness. It is a pathological affliction. If you have something to say, then say it. Don't go through all the effort of hiding behind the premise that it isn't my opinion, just passing on the message.

Actually I just like messing with RVFR, it's kinda like the enjoyment I get from playing chase the laser pointer dot with my neighbors cat.

 

It's pretty clear to me that this country is almost evenly divided on its political views judging from the last few elections. Since there is no real way to actually "know" the candidates, it is up to the media to present them in a "fair and balanced" way; not the FOX version of F&B, but a genuinely non-partisan way. I think that the best way to get this accomplished is to farm out the USA media and news coverage to another party or consortium of countries that will be truly objective on the information presented to the citizens of the good 'ole USA. Unfortunately, most countries have a vested interest in what happens in US government. This, of course, would lead to more swaying of the opinion. Any ideas or thought on this matter are welcome.
Oh, and by the way, FOX news is the last source I would consider a source of accurate, non-partisan, information.

Call me a hippie, socialist, democrat, leftist, neo-commie pinko, or whatever attempt at a slanderous adjective you have, but the foundation of all of my beliefs is the Constitution of this wonderful country. How could I consider myself an American if I did not? The decided corruption of the very document that this country is founded on is the reason for my disdain for the current administration and the GOP. They have not proven to be trustworthy in the keeping of our basic laws and rights and therefore should not be given another chance until they have received a severe spanking by the very people they are charged in keeping.
A people should not fear their government but a government should fear their people.

Perhaps you could enlighten those of us who just must not be as brilliant and sophisticated as you as to your source for news that contains the unvarnished truth. And for the sake of credibility, please don't tell me the Internet or the mainstream left wing liberal media. I have my thoughts and ideas, but in all this it really was interesting to watch the media pull the wool over people eyes, what an abuse of such power, and who gave it to em? be nice to be able to trust some news. Who's to say who's skewed what? they're all a bunch of missed pace fools IMO. I don't buy into it for one minute, just like the 09 vfr1000 thread, seeing is believing and so is this. I don't know Barrack personally, all I can do is go by is his history (which seems to be obscure maybe for a reason I mean he's been in office what? not long) and what he thinks he can do, so far it's in a flux as who he his other than a puppet for the Demos. Hate this two party BS. Now McCain on the other hand, we for the the most part know where he is coming from and in that I trust, be it right or wrong, knowing is everything. So if some one else has a view on this Obama dude I'm all ears, if nothing else for curiosity sake. could be decent entertainment too, god knows we need a good laugh. But.... Two words regarding the recent attacks on our Constitution. They are nicely packaged for ignorant folks so they could be swallowed without holding their mouths closed and those words are: "Patriot Act"
It was at that passing, that very moment, that the terrorists won.
I am not calling you ignorant by any means. So don't go there.
As far as finding the unvarnished truth, it requires a lot of digging through precisely what you labeled my post. But if you had read the first part of my post, I offered a solution for finding an unvarnished source. It is my belief that there is not a mainstream source of pure truth. I know that the internet is full of bullshit and so is the TV. But if you listen really hard, the truth is there. Screaming idiots like Bill O'riley and the others on both side of the fence, although quite charismatic, do not report truth. Emotion and logic do not go hand in hand. It's the quiet words that creep around the corner and pass almost unnoticed that carry the truth. But before you think that I think I know the truth, let me clarify by saying that I know my opinion. Most likely, I probably don't know sh*t. I'm just a low paid mook from New England.
But ultimately, we all make our own opinions by listening to what we want to. Our best bet for happiness is to shut up, live our lives, and let the people who govern the country do what they are going to do, regardless of your or my opinion. There's no sense in getting all huffed up. There are roads out there to ride.
So all political malice aside Knife, have you ever made the Bucktown to Glenmore run on route 100. Those are my old stomping grounds and that road was always fun. Another fun one was Pughtown road. Check out Pughtown road between Route 100 and Kimberton. Watch out for the police on the one long straight and there is an open grate bridge towards Kimberton with a series of sharp squiggles after. Oh, I miss that road!!!
I also liked to go up to St. Peter's Village and try to get lost on those roads back there on either side of RT.23. Northern Chester County has some of the best roads for bikes; curvy and usually well paved. I'll bet that your area isn't too shabby either.
