Faulty turn signal switches. ('96) I had to replace my turn signal switch last Oct. The replacement became very difficult to cancel especially from turning right. Last month I installed another switch and in 2 days and 800 miles it was doing the same thing.

I asked my dealer in Las Cruces to contact Honda. No luck. Anybody have a phone number for a Honda rep?

Apparently there's a little sealed spring behind the left-right-push button, and this is faulty in parts Honda is selling now. Maybe this is a job for some fine dremmel work, or maybe I should install a Yamaha switch or a generic double through switch. Or maybe I'll just buy a SV650.

    Any other ideas.

I also had to replace my left-hand switch, but because of the high/low beam switch (toggle to high beam = no lights till jiggled correctly.) No problem with the right/left blinker switch. I think VT Viffer has the right question, though.

Thanks guys. The third switch went bad on day 3, so it's not a matter of inside or outside storage. It's just a faulty part. I'm wondering if I can find someone to change the wiring to the switch so it works like my 86 BMW-the center position is OFF- no more push to cancel.

Exactly what I was thinking, that and you could get a hold of Service Honda for a new one.

Haven't had that problem myself. I know there are a few people around who replace the LH controls with a late-model GSXR one. You have to do some splicing, but it's pretty straightforward.
