Thats something I would love to do - I gotta find some scales around here. Especially since I have stripped some delink gear off the thing. That would make John451 real happy.

DONE! 522 lbs with 26 miles into a full tank. That'd make it about 1/2 gallon from being fully wet. My fat a$$ is about 225-230 lb:bootyshake2:without gear. Best weight loss program my VFR could have is getting a new pilot!
I'd likely be down around your #s RVFR, if I had the aftermarket can. Only thing from stock I've lost is the horn/brake line bracket under the bottom tripple and the tag light.

I will offer all other generation owners a deal!!!!
Let me ride your bike to my place of work for a day and I'll put it up on the same scale and take a similarly fantasic picture of it. Just drop it off at my house and I'll take care of the rest. It couldn't be easier.

Who could resist? I'm waiting for your PM!

    RVFR,
I'm guessing a trailer scale that large was in 10 or 20 lb increments. True? That would confirm the weight on your earlier post.
At about 40 miles/gal you would have been about 3 gallons from full. Gas is 6.073 lb/gal, so that'd be another 18.2 lbs to full wet.
Our numbers are making sense. Where's the other gens? Who's got a mid 80s 500 to post up?

Still no takers on my offer.:frown:

I don't have a VFR yet, but I can say that my '73 CB750 weighs in at 517 according to the manual, so that is probably a dry weight. (This is a 60 hp bike) I want to say my '81 CB650 weighs 460 IIRC. (62 hp stock, has to be more than that now)

    Just for comparison...
