I have these and, no, they will not easily work with a helmet.

I just bit the bullet and bought a bluetooth headpiece to use in my truck the other day....sigh...I was holding off for as long as I could, but the law is getting close now. That is ok, I don't talk and drive much in the city....mostly just on open roads if I do.

I'm actually planning on buying a pair of S9s. I was just going to cut the arms and splice the speaker wires into standard 'in the ear' bud type. The receiver portion could then be velcroed underneath the rear rim of the helmet.

Or, if I didn't feel like ruining a perfectly good pair of blue tooth phones, I was going to see about splicing into the output, leaving the frame intact, but with a toggle to switch between the factory speakers and the 'in the ears.' In which case the unit would just kind go around the neck.

My cell phone outputs to blue tooth, my plan is to rig up a charger and mount to my bikes electronics, have it broadcast the 2gb of music I have on my phone.

Yah, not exactly on topic, but the Jawbone is an awesome Bluetooth headset.

Had mine for almost a year. Great at blocking out background noise. Prices have dropped significantly since I bought of course.

Only drawbacks: won't work with Motorola Q (a motorola problem) and not easily pairable with PC's. So if you need something to pair with phone and compy, gotta keep looking.

Please let us know as soon as you get it working, have been considering the autocomm, but it is wired although I hear sound quality is the best of the bunch.

I USE THESE WHILE IM RIDING, THERE OK. YOU CANT TALK TO ANYONE WHILE TRAVELING OVER 20 (PROBABLY SAFTY FEATURE) BUT I HAVE A 4 GIG CHIP IN MY CELL WITH A BUNCH OF MUSIC. INSIDE THE HELMET THERE NOT BAD, BUT TAKING OFF AND PUTING ON THE HELMET WITH THEM ON IS A RATHER PAINFUL PROCEDURE.

I have had the Chatter Box XBI for about three weeks now. I listen to music and can talk on the phone through my LG Chocalate 3 phone. I first had problems with the sound being louder in one speaker than the other. First thought my phone did not transmit in stereo than I discovered that one of the speakers was sliding up when I put on my helmet. Also the unit cuts out at low RPMs and the music volume would return at a much lower volume after phone calls were disconnected. I called chatterbox about this and got the usual "This device is not compatable with all bluetooth devices". Overall I really like this device and would recommend it to anyone. The size and weight (no weight at all) are great and being able to talk on the phone is great which really was not a distraction. You get a call it automatically answers for you and when done it disconnects and returns to music. So far the music levels have been returning to their previous levels. I would recommend this unit to anyone.
