Hello, Well, I made my first reasonably long ride in over 10 yrs., last weekend on my '07. Up to St. Chas on Fri., back to Hsv. on Mon. The bike ran like a charm up/back. Only thing that bothered me was occasionally it felt as if the engine died (slowing down, at low speeds) while I was moving along after pulling in clutch. I'm not positive about it though http://vfrworld.com/photos/data/743/ne_nau.gif. Maybe it just sounded as if the engine wasn't running, but it almost felt as if the engine was kicking back on when I let out the clutch. Actually there were some other concerns I had; my butt bothered me Fri. evening & my shoulders bothered me Mon. nite http://vfrworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif. Just thought I'd throw this out there. Anders
Hi Anders, Nice ride! I hope you were able to squeeze in some back roads along the way. I'm in the Huntsville area as well (Madison). Interesting stable you've got there. I've had a few Guzzis myself. I guess if I see anyone on a Bennelli, I know who it is! Cheers! Craig
Hey Craig, I guess I should indicate which bikes I still own, as opposed to have owned/own. All are gone but the '84 Interceptor. I brought the Guzzi down with me 20+ yrs. ago, but my '84 replaced her. The Benelli was replaced by the Guzzi, & that was a good move. The Guzzi made a much better long distance mount ;^). I did hit some back roads, 231 between Fayeteville/Shelbyville is always fun, & some interesting roads between Paducah & Sikeston, MO. On the way back I hit back roads late at nite which wasn't quite as enjoyable. I don't care much for late nite riding anymore :^).
