Ok I was looking around on the internet for whatever my next bike will be since I am selling my car soon and paying the vfr off with in the next 10 months or so. Anyways back to the question I have. When I quote a policy change instead of just doing a straight quote. So I did a add vehicle to policy on a 06 R1 and a 06 Busa(just to see). The policy only went up 200-240 for the full 12 months from what I paid for the vfr. Does that seem right, I just think it seems cheap for the reason that when I choose to quote a replace vehicle option it goes up to 1100 for the 12 month period. Now is it possible that progressiv's discount for multiple vehicles is that much(400-500) lower just because I choose to add and not replace?

My insurance is through Nationwide but when I added a second bike it didn't go up that much. I don't remember how much, but it wasn't a whole lot. I guess they figure you can only ride one at a time.

    I'm totally confused.

Are you not going to insure the VFR once it's paid off?
Replacing the VFR with the two bikes? One of the bikes?
Do a busa AND an R1 replace the car?

    Shed some more light please.

I was just quoting a change. I am keeping the vfr. Selling the car to my brother and buying a beater to get me to work and back. Going to pay off the bike as fast as I can and afford and going to buy something else. Not knowing what buy something in the 6-7,000 range so I can start "collecting". Thinking about getting a used bike every two years, keeping the bikes I bought before. I was just doing the insurance thing wondering how much it would be and it seemed really cheap compared to replacing the bike all together. I am leaning towards a v-rod(maybe) or something more sporty then my 03. I don't know, but it would be kind of fun to hit the black hills(sturgis rally) every year or so on a different bike.
