Now I can tell my friends I'm riding a 2009 VFR... Ya, its 8 years old but its really a 2009... I think Honda now has overtaken GM on keeping the same model for as long as possible...

I looked over the whole line-up.
    Same Wing
    Same ST1300
    Same VFR
    Same CBRs

I guess it doesn't get any better at Honda. They've hit a plateau. Time for a new brand I guess.......

    Yawn.

I think I'll go start a new thread about this!!! Just for 'stuka!!!!

That Ducati 848 keeps lookin' better and better..... or I could stay "loyal" and be happy with a CBR 1000 (Oh, wait...... I can't afford a new bike anyway; disregard... ).

'Course you are forgetting that we are riding a great bike (6th Gen bashers, no comment please), and I'm sure not in the market for a new one. Whatever eventually comes out will also be significantly more expensive if you can believe the rumor mill (pricing it way beyond my capabilities). An up-side is the continued easy availability of accessories even further into the future. I own a 2000 Moto Guzzi as well, and finding anything beyond a basic part requires a good network and a lot of patience, and the willingness to pay more $$ than you think is reasonable.

The new v5 VFR will be released as an early 2010 model. Everyone knows that,

Just saw the honda web site and the uninspiring lack of an update for our favorite bike. At least they didn't discontinue it. My '07 RWB isn't going anywhere, nor would it have been, though. They have a very curious sport-cruiser bike out though. It has WAY too small an engine for it's weight and cost. Why would you pay 15k for a 600lb sport bike that only has a 680cc engine?

All the rumors on the web can't be false.
This must be an evil trick by Honda to make us think they don't care.:frusty:

Well, it's another year to save and be able to pay for the next bike cash down. At least it seems spare parts for the G6 will be around for a LOOOOONNNG time....
