That's got to be the most UNexciting new model... Black? How'd the engineering dept come up with that one?

well, I like black, but you are right, it's a very unexciting new bike. I suppose we should all be happy it's there...

7 yrs running... that's a good stretch for a bike virtually unchanged...

I have been reading about that, I'll sideline my normal bias till I see what the motorags have to say about it. It is strange for a sportbike. I hope its not the ususal Corp Honda trying to protect us from ourselves.

With this years line up, Honda has cemented itself in 4th place of the japanese manufacturers, and with the DN-01 is becoming laughable.:confused:

Actually I am mistaken... I looked at the specifications of the '09 and compared it to the '08. I noticed this difference:

Ah, yes, it truly is new and improved!!

    Looking for diffrences.

seems the comparison is all messed up for formating....

PGM-FI with automatic enricher circuit, 36mm throttle bodies, and 12-hole injectors
    vs
    PGM-FI with automatic enricher circuit,

Unsure what the 08 is, it may be the same.

11 pounds lighet compared to the ABS

    So nothing really new?

I put a short write-up on the 2009 ABS brakes:

    http://vfrworld.com/forums/general-vfr-discussions/18653-2009-abs-linked-brakes-recap.html

Honda claims the new ABS is a safety thing. But they fully concede that if you don't want it, you don't have to have it.

Honda is just putting more and more nails in the coffin (for bikes) each year.....all that technology, engineering resources, and money available.....what a joke.

Wow no surprise really. Honda will have to work pretty hard to get any of my money in the future.
