I was thinking of doing the same. Did you have to rejett the carbs ? And what type of yoshi's did you get ?
Also, what did you pay for them?

OH ! By the way, they sounded AWSOME !

    Hey

The pipes are definetly worth it good luck finding them I got them off of ebay. The person I bought them from not only was awesome but also had taken great care of them. I paid 150 and no you dont need to rejet unless you get a K&N air Filter too. I love them and would never ride a VF500f with normal sound again. I get compliments on the sound of this bike all the time.

Rejetting is suggested because the slip-ons cause a huge flat spot in the midrange and also kind of screw up the top end. They cause a power loss, so rejetting is the only way to get back close to stock output.

I'd have the exhaust gasses checked to see exactly how rich/lean your bike is running. I'd bet she's way lean.

Generally speaking, "Shops" don't know about these bikes at all. It's very rare to find one that has a decent mechanic, especially one that knows the early VF's.
