Hey there everyone. Recently sold my GS 500 of 2 years and just bought a 1998 VFR800. So far I love it, but there are a few problems with the bike, hopefully all cosmetic!

First off is that one of the mirrors are broken - one completely gone, the other is cracked. I am looking at getting a new set but wanted to see if these are okay:

    eBay Motors: honda CBR600 CBR 600 F2 F3 900RR VFR 750 800 MIRRORS (item 230290000659 end time Sep-15-08 08:44:00 PDT)

I saw the trojan style ones, but these seem to be a bit better, although the wording is a bit confusing as to weather or not it will fit my bike. Thanks guys, after I get these minor fixes in place, I'll post some pics.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I have a 98 as well. Those mirrors might work if they have the same bolt pattern as the VFR does. I am not 100% positive on that though. There is a guy in the buying a selling who is parting out an entire 5th gen, so maybe you can grab the mirrors from him?

Welcome to the group. They will work, but only if the bolt pattern is the same, as stuka said. I think the pattern is a bit off, though, as looked at some when I had mine and was in FL. I saw some on a rack, asked if I could see if they would fit my bike, and IIRC, the CBR pattern was a bit off, I think on the short side.

Hey again, don't know if most people are going to read this far down but I just got a new rear cowl and combination light off of ebay, but I don't have any of the mounting hardware. What is the best place to find what parts I need and where is the best place to buy the parts. I looked on ron ayers, but at 2-3 bucks a bolt, it's gonna add up really fast when I can probably get the same thing at home depot for 43 cents.

Thanks again, and I should probably just start a new thread later huh?

Yo dude, welcome aboard and nice bike & pic. as for a new thread you will find with this site that if you are specific with your thread title, you will get specific feedback. so best thing is to start another thread with your recent inquiries.
as for parts like bolts, be picky about what you get from the box store. thoes are nuts and bolts meant to fix a fence or some other house hold need and probably will not stand up to the demands of your bike.
find a motorcycle repair place near you and go by there and ask to see their "collection" of nuts and bolts. any older shop that is not some fancy brand new place is sure to have a great collection of exactly what you need and proabaly for a fraction of what ayers wants.
