I found out that cars stayed further away from me today when I was riding home from SLO. Do you think my luggage had anything to do with it?

I know it's far fetched, when I ride in PA, people don't roll up on me at all. It must be my NJ plates. I guess the PA folks think I will put a hit on them if they tailgate me.

In NJ, forget it. If there is a car length between vehicles, that of course mean that a car can fit in the space & there will be one in there shortly whether you want it there or not. Out of necessity, not because of the curiculum, I give a "NJ Briefing" during all of my MSF & Sport Bike classes. I wish I didn't have too, but it is all too necessary.

Remember, my evil powers grow stronger with insults & threats so feel free to hurl any comments you see fit in my direction regarding this matter.

    KC-10 FE out...

I like. Years ago I had a buddy rig a windshield washer to his bike to spray backwards. That backed the cars off in a hurry.

I like that one. But be sure to use water and not something that would cause an accident. Water and W/W fluid gets the message across. I don't seem to have a big problem with tailgaters here. They remarkable seem to give me more room on the bike than they do in my truck

I wonder for those of you who do have a problem it is because the person behind you is easily seeing the car ahead of you and judging his following distance based on this. Doesn't make it right, but it could be a reason.
