    Hi,
My name is Paul from Adelaide Australia.
I have an 07 Tri colour VFR, which is my third VFR, the others I have owned were a 99 model and an 02 model.
My bike before this was a VTR1000 and before that, an 04 Blackbird.
I have gone back to a VFR because 1. I like them, 2. they are cheap ATM and 3. I probably wont be able to afford the V5 if it ever comes.
Also I really like the retro colour scheme of this model, takes me back to the 80s.

My mods are, Leo Vince mufflers, PC3 usb, repainted wheels. (not keen on matt black)
It is running beautiful atm if anyone wants a map

    Here's a pic

Welcome aboard. Are there very many '07 red white and blues there? I was under the impression that the '08 was the tri-color Down Under.
Nice to see more representation from the land of Oz.

Don't think we got very many here. My local dealer had one in the showroom for a fair while, I have seen one on the road in my area. One member of OZVFR in Perth also has a RWB.

Those gold wheels look awsome. Realy go's well with RWB. I'm in Sydney, with a Candy Glory Red '08.

I'd love a copy of that map!. I haven't been able to find a map that goes on a VFR with the 6500rpm VTEC engagement. Coyze map is for the earlier VFR with the 7000rpm. I've heard storys of old maps changing the VTEC engagement point on newer VFR's. Did you get the map done on a dyno?. If so, what Horsepower/Torque figures did you get?

    welcome aboard fellow ANZAC.

nice pic, love the gold rims, same as the original RWB gen 1 had.

ive pretty much followed the same route as you-backbird, Gen 5, VTR
and have enjoyed being able to compare the attributes of all these differant bikes.

did you do all the mods on your bike or were they on when you got it?

interested to know what youd think of the before/after in comparison?

    cheers

    RT

First up, thanks for the welcomes, I havent seen any other RWBs here, thats why I wanted one, and there was some confusion as to whether it was sold as an 07 or an 08. They are selling silver ones and candy glory red ones as 08s here, so I guess it was 07. Date of manufacture was 08/07

As to the wheel colour, I took the rims to a motorcycle painter and told him what I wanted via some pictures on my laptop of some Penta wheels

And that was what he came up with, in a 2 pack epoxy with heaps of clear on top.

Regarding the map, it is the M126-501.djm map which I have modified in the sub 5% throttle range to further eliminate those annoying flat spots and seems to workquite well, although my bike has only done 1200Ks and I havent thrashed it too much just yet.
Although that map is for standard exhaust, I still have the cat so I figure its not much different to standard.
Fuel wise, it uses about 6 litres/100Ks
Whats the best way to get a copy? If you PM me your email address, I will email it to you.
    Thanks again for the welcomes.
