Very true, I am looking forward to riding with the new seat - hopefully they get in stock one of these days.

I don't want to hi-jack the thread but, does anyone know if the passenger seat on the Sargent is more comfortable than the stock? I'm great with my ass feeling good, but if my girlfriend's doesn't, my comfort doesn't mean anything if she's bitching in my ear.

Sandhill powersports might be getting some in around Sept. 19th. They aren't taking orders, it's first come first serve when they get them in. So you have to call to see if they have them. Sargent is notorious for being late with their shipments though, so don't be surprised if they're in much later.

I just got off the phone with Sandhill Powersports and they have informed me that their supplier did not receive a shipment.
New estimated date is 9 Oct.
I don't know about you but I'm ready to give up on SHPS.

Well, here are a couple of options. I called motoemporium.com, and they gave me a shipped price of $349.00 for a 5th gen. Little more expensive, but better than $399.00 plus shipping from sargent.

Better than a stick in the eye!

    Hey Guys,

Looking for a seat for an A8 with hopefully the possibility of a reduction in my ass area to compensate for my short legs. Had the stock seat shallowed out in that area and whilst it is better, I find I now understand why my wife moans at having them pulled too far apart :tongue:. Any chance of a sit rep on this. In the U.K. and wondered if I could join in on this . Don't expect the free shipping, tho it would be nice if they did. Alternatively, if there is anyone else on here in the U.K. and know of a more inland source, I'd be most grateful.

    Thanks,

    Doug

They quoted me $379.00 with a 4 – 6 week build time as Sargent is still behind on orders.

I just called SHPS to ask about the seats. Sargent has pushed back the date again to 30 October.

I'm not going to say it but you know what I'm thinking.

Give you an update of our seat situation. I have a Silver Accent for the 02-07 and I have 4 Black Accent for the 02-07 Bikes. Thanks

    TJ

I have a sargent on my 5g. wife says it's okay for 100-150. she won't try further. she likes the idea of the corbin with the backrest more, though. she says she could probably ride longer if she felt like she could relax a bit more and the idea of a backrest behind her makes her think she's be more at ease...
