    Oh the poor 1098.

    At least Rossi won.

I was wondering how it went. I'm over in Dayton and the winds were horrific. Power out everywhere. I cant fathom riding a bike in it.

    Bummer!
Especially since a lot of them were probably rooting for Stoner, and then to come out and find that...

So how was the first MotoGP at Indy? Looks like a great track layout. Rossi and Hayden seemed to like it!
The TV coverage was pretty bad, but I think that was the last of the NBC versions for the year.
    Cheers!

I had a lot of fun, it was the first motorcycle race I have ever been too.

I had a great time, even though the weather was not great.

I will definitely go next year.

Wow! So for your first ever motorcycle race you got to see not only Moto GP, but the first ever Moto GP at Indy and the first MC race there in 99 years?
    Sweet! :thumb:
Most of us are lucky to start out watching WERA...

    Cheers!

I rode back to my motel in Shelbyville (@20 miles south of indy) after the race and it truly was scary at times. The wind was very rough and a gust would come out of nowhere and 'bout sweep the bike from under me. I didn't see the Ducs blown over, they were in a special designated parking area. Us non Duc owners had to park on the track, glad I did now. I saw no bikes blown over outta the hundreds that were park on the track. All in all, it was a very cool weekend and very memorable too. It's nice to say you were at the first indy gp and the remnants of a hurricane came through at race time. I'll always have a good story to tell.

I walked out through that lot, but didn't see that! I didn't even see the bits left behind. Anywho... somebody must have done some sweeping.

Novice duck riders? Anyone who puts a cover on their bike when 60 MPH gusts are predicted must be new or ill informed.

Ooh its like dominos, with really expensive motorcycles! I wonder why they didn't curve them around at the end so that it would keep going. Oh right it was unintentional.
