I have vf500 fII '87 and valve dropped, broked piston and cylinder head. So is there any problems if I replace cylinder head using older head about '84? It's equipped with shorter cams. Head gasket seems to be same.

Answerring to my own question. Older cams won't fit 'cause different lift. So you have to do some machining to '86-> cams 'cause those are longer and drill new oil holes to both ends.

I have a head and 4 cams from an 86 vf500... I bought them thinking they would fit my 85... if you are still in need let me know!

Engine is running again so I don't need them.
