My buddy sent me the procedure for synchronizing the starter valves last night. The problem is, what ever manual he has says where to set cylinders 3 and 4 in relation to number 1, but nothing on the setting for cylinder 2. For example (I don't remember the exact numbers), it says 3 should be 20mm Hg below 1, and 4 should be 10mm Hg below 1, but nothing for number 2 in relation to 1. Can anyone verify all of these numbers for all of the cylinders for me? TIA
You can make this much simpler by making your own valve sync tool with plastic tubes and vegetable oil. There's a forum thread on this: VFRD > Homemade Manometer For that method what I did was make sure cylinder #1 has the strongest vacuum and cylinder #2 has the 2nd strongest vacuum and so on for #3 and #4. When I hooked up the homemade manometer the levels looked like stairs with the #1 being the highest step and #4 being the lowest. Hope that helps.
