This is my new exhaust I just did a couple weeks ago..Short 9" tips with glass pack insert. Straight through and surprisingly quieter than the gutted stock cans. Purchased these from Summit for $40.

It sounds the same as my gutted stock exhaust. But doesn't have the deep note at idle. Almost sounds stock at idle, but once off idle can't really tell.

Here's a video from my gutted stock exhaust...

That's real nice. How's the air flow of the exhaust? I had a 05' CBR1000 and the stock exhaust set up made my jacket smell like the fumes even on short rides? Can you post some closer pics of the exhaust and how you installed them? Thanks.

That is one of the slickest set-ups I have seen.

silver_vfr05, I will take some more close-ups for ya this afternoon. Surprisingly, I do NOT get any fumes that I've noticed. But I only have about 200 miles on this set-up. I got some fumes with my gutted exhaust.

Thanks drewl. I wanted something clean looking, and didn't like the BIG stock cans. I almost shortened up the original cans, so the end caps were under the blinkers. But then I found these tip on summit racing. I wanted them to be a couple inches longer, to end under the edge of the blinker. They are 9" long and 2.5" diameter. They have an angled tip, so I rotated them to follow the body lines a bit. They are wolded on the original mid-pipe and hangers.
