Michelin Pilot Roads 2ct

I just ordered a set of Roads for my 2000 VFR. I tried to purchase them locally here in Hawaii but, no one carries them. After reading serveral other reviews I hope they'll work well in the warm/wet climate of Hawaii. I mostly compute since we have limited twisties. The ones we do have are in rather poor condition with lots of hazards such as pot holes, algae, and sand. Looking forward to sharing with hopes of helping others to make an informed decision.

 

You'll love 'em. They stick, they wear well, they are quiet, and they also work well in the rain.

 

Had the roads installed on Saturday. Intitial reactions are they turn in much quicker than the Pilot Powers they replaced, the cornering is very confident and stable. Rode in the rain on Sunday and agian felt very confortable. So far I really like them but time will tell as they wear in. More to come....

I have put 200 miles on my road pilot 2's and so far I agree they are great. I had the continental road attacks before. They were sticky but were more difficult to turn in.

 

The more I ride on these tires the more I like them. So far I've put approx 250 miles on them mostly in the wet and am very impressed. There cornering ability on wet roads delivers nothing but confidence. Granted they did step out on the painted limit lines but what tire doesn't. More to come.......

 

I have the pilot power roads too. Have about 500 miles on them so far. Seem to be a really nice tire. Have done a bit of hard riding and some two-up riding. They stick to the road really well. A very confident tire. I had the road attacks before, which were a good tire. Handled well all year round. But they would slip a little if pushed hard in a turn. I was happy with the 8,000 miles I got out of them before hitting the wear bars.

 

I've put appox 750 miles on the Pilot Roads so far and all I can say is these are great tires. Yesterday I took the Military Sport Bike riders course and their performance was flawless. The course was very tight with extreme lean angles. The condition of the course was far from prefect (potholes, gravel. uneven surfaces and it even rained). Speeds were between 25 to 35 mph and they stuck like glue. Others were having issues during the course but, not I. Later this month I will be taking the MSF instructors course to get my MSF certification and will report on their performance. Hope this helps everyone in their tire selection decision
