Starter problems

    I am having hella starter issues it engages foe 2 seconds freespins screaming then just screams how do i take the starter out i have misplaced my manuel and am getting very fustrated being that i just went thre the bike replacing everything then the starter goes lol thats why you dont build a street fighter i guess lol

    if your starter spins but doesn't engage with engine the "starter clutch" under the starboard engine cover is at fault.

    ANyone know where the starter is located on a 96 vfr i lost my manuel some where in my move and im havving issues lol

    starter on all or almost all VFRs is located at front of engine, behind front exhaust pipes and is held on with 3 bolts and a wire.

    starter

    I took the starter out and found that all the teeth on the spline are good no chips just normal wear now i have isolated it to what you guys thought starter clutch now where can i get a rebuild for cheap?

    remove starter clutch and inspect/replace springs and rollers as needed.

    so I changed the starter and that wasn't it I took the cover off and the teeth on the starter clutch where all jacked up so anyone wanna sell me the whole assembly besides starter? the gear from the starter to clutch and clutch gear under the pick ups???
