So its not that bad but, I go out today jump int the truck drive over to the bike (I was actually going out somewere else) fitted a hinge pin that I bought at home depot to hold the faring closed on the bottom, anyway, the car that is parked next to me is into my tail light and exhaust pipe.... not just touching but BENDING the tail light or should I say bent the tail light.

now don't get me wrong the bike is in rough shape and the light are made to bend a bit....anyway i fingd the guy whos car it is and tell him, he denyed that he was touching, but then said it was no big deal when he saw it. I FLIPPED out on him.

he said it was no big deal because it was an old bike. All I wanted from him was acknoweledgement that he was wrong and apoligize for hitting the bike. not even that. I had to walk away cause I would be in jail right now trying to post bail.

What a bastardo. He's should consider himself lucky that you didn't make him buy you an '07 Anniversary Edition for all the emotional distress, pain, and suffering that he caused you.

I would have thought that he would apologize at least.

    Regards,
    Rollin

Some people just don't get it. Pity you were at the receiving end though.

yup. Some A holes suck. Like the dumb broad who slams her car door into your freshly painted convertible and shrugs her shoulders, smiles and says "OOOPS. I am sorry." Instead of offering to pay to fix the quarter sized dent and chip in the fresh paint. Dumb B%$#h.

Randy, if you were in Lagos, you would have had a heart attack by now. I think its physically impossible to drive in Lagos and not have some one scratch, ding or bump your car!!

I had some bimbette in a new Lincoln swing her door into my freshly painted and restored 71 Z28 at the far end of a store parking lot. She checked HER door for damage and walked away.
When she came back from shopping, her ice cream melted. She wasn't going anywhere with super glued door locks and without 4 valve stems.
That didn't fix the paint and dent, but probably cost enough in spoiled food, towing and inconvenience to cover the repair.

Excellent response, just enough to get your point across without overdoing it.

Crusty, I know how you feel, some folks think if your shit isn't brand new and shiny then it must be ok for them to tear up. I'm convinced that at least 50% of all the stress in my life comes from resisting the urge to stomp a hole in idiots.

man that sucks crusty, I hate it when people do that!

when I lived in WA Johnny and I came out of the grocery store to get flagged down by a nice lady telling us the person who came and parked next to us slammed their door into my car. We thanked her and checked it out - a bunch of scratches and a dent in my body panels. Granted my CRX was old and not 100% pristine - its still a shitty thing to do. There was even scratches on the truck, but you could tell they pulled forward to make it look like it wasn't them.

So we waited a few minutes and the family came out. First they claimed to speak no English (hispanic family) after we PROVED it was them. Then they were saying a bunch of stupid stuff, pretended to call the police, and a bunch of BS. They kept saying "we dont have insurance" so we called the police, who refused to do anything unless they left making it a hit and run. HELLO THEY JUST SAID THEY HAVE NO INSURANCE!!!!! Well, lets just say they left the parking lot with a big foot print in their new truck. :vfrshorty:

I have a story just the reverse. One of my peeves is when people don't know how to park and they park right ON the line so another car can't fit in the spot. Well, a while back, I had a beat up 1994 Plymouth Acclaim with no hubcaps (stolen in the Bronx) and a nice big dent down the whole passenger side from scraping up against a van while trying to merge into the Holland Tunnel in NYC. So, I no longer cared about the passenger side. So, what I used to do to people who parked ON the line is park right next to them... so close that they couldn't get in their car. I'd leave myself plenty of room on MY side, but NO room on my passenger side. They could tell I wouldn't care if they banged into my car!! I never was there when someone tried to get in their car, but hopefully some of them were smart enough to realize THEY were the idiots and they were more aware of how they parked from that point on!!

We do a variation of this at work, park so close on either side of someone that they can't get in their car...then hang around before leaving so they have to stand there till we decide they can go home. This is fun when someone's been a jerk all day.
