finding a new R/R

hi, I've been looking on the forums a little bit and haven't found anywhere to get an R/R. i found this one: Electrosport Rectifiers/Regulators (Honda VFR700F 1986) at BikeBandit.com but i wasn't looking to spend that much on it. does anyone know where i can get a new one for less? i already searched ebay.

i did a search for an 86 vfr700 but its not showing up in the parts list. anyone know the part number?

my bike is a VFR700F. does that matter? i was speaking with the tech support at dennis kirk a few mins ago and they had no idea what the difference is and couldnt tell me if it would work with my bike. and what exactly is the difference between the 700f and the 700f2?

Do you have a manuel? Might state the difference.

Be patient someone will chime in who knows more about your generation of bike.

yeah i have the manual somewhere around here...if i remember right it ddnt say anything about 700F2 though...just 700F

 

+1 for Ricks. If they carry it.

 

Dude if it where me I'm willing to bet the charging system is the same, as also like the 750, so if it were me I'd be getting that one at Ricks or Dennis Kirks, both are a good place, be hard to go wrong. But this is only what I'd do if I was in your shoes, LOL thats a disclaimer :wink:
