Lowering a 4th GEN ('97) by flipping the link ?

    I apologize up front if I missed this on my search, but will flipping the shock link on my '97 lower it about an inch, like on the 5/6th GENS? I'm only looking for a little bit and I'll match it on the front.

    On the third gen, which is very similar, flipping the eccentric will raise the bike and provide better handling. I know that this was reversed by the 5th gen, so we will need someone to confirm where the 4th stands from the factory, eccentric centering from the factory at the top like the 3g or centering at the bottom like the 5g.

    As far as I know you need to order the Thurn lowering link kit to be able to lower it...Brian

    easiest way to lower is to remove some foam from the seat....

    I wouldn't, get taller shoes/boots. or learn to balance. Theres more to lowering a VFR than what one would think, even though theres so called kits, it really does foul things up.
